The Deeper Reason Behind Ringing in the Ears 💫
It might not be just tinnitus. Here’s what it could mean if you’re sensitive to frequency and energy.
Ringing in the ears has a lot of different explanations. There’s the playful folk beliefs like, “Right ear? Someone’s saying something nice about you. Left ear? Someone’s talking behind your back.” There’s also the mainstream medical view of tinnitus which is attributed to exposure to loud noises, age-related hearing loss, ear infections, and other neurological causes.
But in this article I’m going to talk about it from a different perspective.
For those of you who are field sensitive or starting to realize that your nervous system is responding to more than just physical sensory input…this is for you.
Before we begin, I just want to define what field sensitivity means so we’re all on the same page.
What is “The Field”?
Just like our human body has connective tissue (called fascia) that wraps around muscles, organs and bones and communicates between them, our reality has something similar called plasma, (the 4th state of matter) or what I call “the field.”
It’s the invisible energetic layer that connects and flows through everything- people, places, memory, emotions and even timelines. It’s intelligent and holds patterns.
So one way to think about it is:
The field is to reality what fascia is to the body.
Or you could even think of it like The Force in Star Wars…it flows through all things, shaping reality.
It’s fluid, responsive, and highly conductive- meaning your thoughts, emotions, and nervous system are always interacting with it (even if you’re not consciously aware of it.)
So field sensitivity just means your nervous system is picking up on subtle, unseen shifts in the environment.
When you’re field sensitive, you’re the person who’s more likely to see number sequences. Or look at the clock at exactly 11:11. Or have weird synchronicities happen to you. Or you may start seeing symbolism show up within your reality in a seemingly personal way.
You may sense when a room “feels off,” notice pressure changes before emotional events, have dream bleed-throughs, or ringing in the ears as a kind of intuitive feedback.
You’re not just reacting to what’s happening around you. You’re tuned in to what’s happening through you and through “the field.”
A Simple Test to Find Out If You’re Field Sensitive:
One interesting way to find out is to do a full energetic deep clean of a room you spend a lot of time in (I know this from first-hand experience from when I rearranged my office a couple months ago. 😂)
I’m talking some next-level cleaning….reorganizing objects, vacuuming, decluttering, wiping down wall corners with high frequency essential oils like rosemary or lavender, and opening the windows to circulate fresh air.
Then… pay attention in the days afterward. Notice any subtle shifts- especially around your head or ears.
Do you feel slight pressure changes, gentle tones, or a sense of calm “clicking in” after the energy of your space resets?
If so, you might be tuned into field tone…the frequency “language” that lives between space and energy.
The Field-Sensitive Experience
If you’re field sensitive, ringing in the ears sometimes doesn’t always feel like the higher pitched “ringing.” For me, it’s more like barely-noticeable tones accompanied by a kind of pressure change… like a “bubble” of silence around my ears.
It’s hard to describe, but I guess another way to word it is it feels like you’re in a “vacuum” or were pulled underwater where there’s a strange hollow silence…as if sound itself seized to exist and was paused for a second. But a tone/ ringing is also present.
So What Are The Reasons for Ear Ringing?
1. Frequency Shift in the Field
It could be your own field adjusting, a collective shift, or something environmental like an energetic “click” in your space.
2. An Incoming Message or Download
Sometimes your body hears before your mind decodes. It might come before a symbolic insight, right before a memory corridor opens from your dream-state, or preceding an ‘ah-ha’ moment of clarity (authors, performers, artists, etc. sometimes receive these downloads of something they’re meant to know or share.)
3. Field Distortion
Like an early warning system. This could be triggered by technology/ EMFs, chaotic spaces, or heavy emotional undercurrents in a room. For me, distortion doesn’t show up as ringing, but more like static on my skin and a sudden, clear sense that something’s off. Dogs are actually excellent at picking up on field distortion and will start acting strangely when they sense it.
4. Field Pressure or Timeline Compression
Happens during collective unrest or confusion. Your nervous system might register this as ear tones, like a “tuning fork” hitting a compressed timeline. May also come along with some not so pleasant physical emotions like feeling hyper-aware or anxious for seemingly no reason.
5. A Sync-Up Moment
Most of the time the ringing is a good thing! It’s your body aligning with a positive new frequency- a new person, a place, or even your own next chapter of what’s to unfold in your near future. When ringing is due to this reason, it’s basically indicating an expansion in perception and your own personal awareness. Like you are able to see just a fraction more of our reality…more of the “higher world.”
6. You’re Being Pinged/ “Psychic Attack”
Yes, like the folk tale. Someone could be talking about you or projecting energy toward you. Nothing spooky, but it can feel weird.
Psychic attacks can happen, but they’re less common than people think. They usually occur when chaotic or fragmented energy is directed at you- like after an argument or if someone is holding strong anger or resentment towards you. That energy can show up in your field as a thought form, which may feel like sudden anxiety, panic, or intrusive emotional noise.
If this happens after you’ve drawn public attention to yourself, made a personal announcement or you suspect it could be other people’s projections, simply imagine a mirror or electric-violet light surrounding your body and say:
“I send all energy not mine back, and I call all of my energy home to me.”
Intend that anything not aligned with your highest good is reflected back or released completely (without fear, and without needing to know who it came from.)
Remember, you dictate what’s allowed to enter your energy field.
Final Thought
If ear ringing happens to you, instead of asking what does this mean, try asking what am I tuned into right now?
Is something in your environment trying to adjust or clear?
Is your own nervous system syncing up with something new?
Most of the time, I find the ringing is a message that your perception is widening and your field already knows it. 🙂
